Catherine is familiar with, and has worked with a multitude of curricula including; the International Curriculum Association (IPC, IEYC & IMYC), the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Canadian, British, American, Australian, Dutch, Spanish, and China’s national curricula and more.  

Catherine’s teaching and leadership career has spanned three decades. She has lived, studied and worked in six different countries: Canada, UK, France, the Netherlands, Spain and China. Catherine has developed her interest in global competencies from leadership roles in international schools over the past 20 years. Her passion lies in working with teachers and school leaders, to explore the changes needed to our current educational approaches, in order to better prepare students for their futures. Her experience in international education has helped her to develop multicultural sensitivities, a keen interest in global and international ­mindedness, 21st century learning concepts and collaborative leadership in professional learning communities. She has authored a chapter in ‘Taking the IPC Forward’ (eds. Mary Hayden & Jeff Thompson) and has written many articles for the International School Magazine. She has published several researched literature reviews for the Centre for Inspiring Minds, London, UK.

Catherine has a Post Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (PGCE), International Education, from Bath University, UK. She studied her Master of Educational Sciences Degree from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Catherine has two undergraduate degrees, one a Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science and French from Queen’s University, Canada.
