Teaching Toolkit

Through self-led Professional Development with the ICA, you will add skills and strategies to your teaching toolkit. You will be able to use what you learn in this episode of the  IPC Improving Learning Series in your classroom now.

How the Episodes are Structured

The IPC Improving Learning Episodes are offered in 2 formats: Self-Study and In-Depth Study. Self-Study episodes are intended to be used by individuals or small groups while In-Depth Study episodes are designed to be used as whole-school or large group professional development opportunities.

Each kind of episode has the same aims, however, the depth of coverage and engagement will be much deeper with the collaborative version.

All episodes promote action research through a three-part structure:
1

Research

Explore the resources provided with the episode. Learn about the impact on learning and learners.
2

Test and Trial

Use guidance provided to plan and trial an initiative in your classroom. Record observations to help evaluate impact.
3

Reflect and Extend

Use the reflective questions to evaluate the impact and decide what needs to happen next.
