What to expect:

In these short sessions, Ian Connors, Director of Education at Monster Phonics, introduces the key principles behind the programme and explains why it is described as an enhanced systematic synthetic phonics approach. Monster Phonics retains the rigour and structure schools expect, while adding carefully designed features such as colour coding, characters, and multisensory support to make phonics more memorable, engaging, and effective for all learners.

The sessions give a practical overview of what is available to ICA schools, including ready-to-use classroom resources, digital tools, and free professional development. It also shows how schools can explore and access these materials quickly, allowing you to compare and reflect on how Monster Phonics might complement or strengthen your current approach to early reading.
